I just got the official notice that I am being RIF'ed this year.
(For you non-education people, that means I am on the job hunt again. Joy.)

My school district is facing a massive RIF next year (after just having had a minor one about 2 years ago). These are NOT fun. If the leaders of the state of Texas don't do something miraculous, my district (Dallas) will have to cut around 4,000 positions (mostly teachers) next year.
